Create 3 narrow silver finger rings that can be stacked or worn alone in this workshop. We’ll start with some simple jewelry techniques to help you size a ring to your size, shape and texture it with hammers, then using a small torch, solder the seam closed. After you file and sand it, you’ll have a set of three beautiful, seamless rings. No previous experience necessary, you will learn basic soldering with a butane torch, including important safety information – perfect if you are thinking about starting to make your own jewelry. This will prepare you for more advanced jewelry skills. Instructor will provide a materials and tools list, complete instructions for safe handling of a torch, and a resource list for local and online supplies as well as classes and private instruction.
What to bring: Eye magnification, if necessary (such as reading glasses or Optivisor) - all other materials provided.
