Learn how to start with a freshly cut log or branch and carve household utensils, like chopsticks and spreaders! In this class we’ll learn traditional greenwood carving, using axes and carving knives to transform woods from our local forests into useful objects for your home. From discussions about proper knife grips and safety, to contemplation on design and decoration, this course will offer an excellent foundation to any aspiring or emerging woodworker who’s looking for a more peaceful, reflective, and easily portable form of working with this sustainable material.
This class will be taught by instructor Rose Holdorf! You can read more about her on her website.
