Thurman Miller

Thurman Miller is a retired Software Manager from Intel and current owner of Beyond the Edge Woodworking, a boutique woodworking business that has been operating since 2010. Over the summer of 2023, Thurman played an integral role as the volunteer lead for the Troll project. Over the course of two weeks leading up to the building of the Ole Bolle Troll, Thurman oversaw several dedicated volunteers and provided instruction and guidance to guarantee best woodworking practices and safety. In addition to this, he was a key builder behind Ole Bolle’s Troll Stua.

Thurman is enthusiastic about contributing to the development of Nordic Northwest's property and programs to introduce more individuals in the local community to Nordic Northwest. Having resided in eight states and traveled to over 20 countries, he aims to foster an environment where everyone can appreciate Nordic culture.

Thurman’s past involvements include serving on the North Plains Library board, active participation in the Knights of Pythias for two decades, and contributing to the Rose City Astronomers as an editor. During his tenure at Intel, Thurman organized quarterly volunteer activities for his team, demonstrating a longstanding commitment to community service and engagement.
