March Book Club

Skygger på græsset (Shadows on the Grass) by Isak Dinesen, 125 pages.

Isak Dinesen takes up the absorbing story of her life in Kenya begun in the unforgettable Out of Africa, which she published under the name of Karen Blixen. With warmth and humanity these four stories illuminate her love both for the African people, their dignity and traditions, and for the beauty and wildness of the landscape.

April Book Club

Wednesday, April 12, 12-2pm

 

Pagten (The Pact) written by Thorkild Bjørnvig, 160 pages.

Isak Dinesen and Bjørnvig were friends, but Dinesen wanted more than friendship and that is what the book is about, besides the pact they signed.

May Book Club

Barbara by Jørgen-Frantz Jacobsen, 230 pages.

 

Set in the Faroe Islands, this is a love story about a young priest who arrives in the islands and falls in love with a young widow.

Parking:

we encourage guests to use public transportation or ride-sharing services. Our 50-space parking lot is open on a first come, first-served, basis and limited street parking is available on SW 89th & 90th Avenues.

Accessibility:

Nordia House has two accessible parking spots in our main lot facing SW Oleson Rd. Both the main entrance facing SW Oleson Rd. and our side entrance facing SW Taylors Ferry Rd. are wheelchair accessible. All restrooms have accessible stalls but no power doors.
