“We have a surplus of dragon-fighting Vikings, but do we have enough bread-making Vikings…?” – Hiccup, in How to Train Your Dragon Make your own Viking bread and homemade butter just the way (almost) the Vikings did! Stay after for a pajama party screening of How to Train Your Dragon!
Kids will get to work in groups to mix, knead, and bake a simple Viking bread, and will take turns shaking a jar to magically transform cream into fresh butter! We’ll then pass around the result of our group effort with Nordic lingonberry jam and enjoy our homemade Viking snack!
Make it a Viking evening and stay for our pajama-party screening of How to Train Your Dragon at 6:30pm!
Students will receive step by step instructions on how to mix, knead, and bake loaves of simple soda and oat bread, and shake cream to make fresh butter. Enough bread and butter and jam will be available for all students to taste.
Great for all ages!
This is a multi-generational activity! An adult guardian is required for children under the age of 18. Adult assistance required for ages 2 – 6. Adult guardians do not have to purchase a ticket if they only plan to assist their children in the craft. Adults who plan to make their own craft are required to purchase a ticket.
