REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Join us for these family-friendly storytimes and crafts. We will read a tale illustrated and written by Nordic authors. Then we will work together on a craft that ties into the story. Adults must stay with children during this event.

Earth Day Kickoff - SOLD OUT

4/1/2023 | 10 to 11 am

Kick off Earth Day with an April morning Storytime and craft at Nordic Northwest. We will be reading a story all about the importance of taking care of our environment and doing a small sustainable craft.

 

The Forest Bride:

The Story of a Little Mouse Who Was a Princess

5/15/2023 | 6 to 7 pm

There once was a farmer who had three sons. When the sons had grown into men, the farmer sends them off to find brides. The youngest goes to the woods and meets a mouse, who says she will be his bride! Come join us on May 15th to hear the story of a little mouse who was a princess.

The Tale of the Tiny Man

6/17/2023 | 11 am to 12 pm

There once was a tiny man looking for friends. He posts a “Friends Wanted” note to a tree and waits on his front porch for people to be his friend. Come join us on June 17th to read a story about the journey of making friends.

Rosalind and the Little Deer

7/12/2023 | 1 to 2 pm

Rosalind and her deer love to play together under the shade of the lime tree. But one day a hunter comes and scares the deer away! The deer is then captured by the king and kept in a golden cage. Join us July 12th to learn if Rosalind can convince the king to let the little deer go.

My Father's Arms Are A Boat

8/11/2023 | 11 am to 12 pm

A young boy climbs into his father’s arms, unable to sleep. He begins to ask questions about the birds, the foxes, and whether his mom will ever wake up. Come join us August 11th on a journey of love and loss.

Parking: We encourage guests to use public transportation or ride-sharing services. Our 50-space parking lot is open on a first come, first-served, basis and limited street parking is available on SW 89th & 90th Avenues.

 

Accessibility: Nordia House has two accessible parking spots in our main lot facing SW Oleson Rd. Both the main entrance facing SW Oleson Rd. and our side entrance facing SW Taylors Ferry Rd. are wheelchair accessible. All restrooms have accessible stalls but no power doors.
