Bus Trip to National Nordic Museum

Join in on this special bus trip to Seattle, Washington to explore the National Nordic Museum!

Explore the National Nordic Museum’s permanent collection which encompasses five galleries. It features more than 100 objects that are on loan from museums throughout the United States and the National Museums of all five Nordic countries—including stone axes and tools that are more than four thousand years old; Viking-era rune stones, swords, keys, and jewelry; religious objects from the seventeenth century; and examples of twentieth-century modern design.


Enjoy access to the special Exhibition entitled Dines Carlsen: In His Own Manner. In this dynamic exhibition, visitors will enjoy a rotating selection from the collection of the National Nordic Museum, which received a gift of more than 900 works by the acclaimed artist in 2020.

Trip Itinerary: 

8:00 AM Meet at Nordic Northwest

9:30 AM Rest stop Scatter Creek

11:45 AM Arrive at National Nordic Museum

Lunch is available to purchase at the Museum

5:00 PM Bus departs for trip back to Portland

7:00 PM Rest stop at Maytown Rest Area

9:00 PM Arrive at Nordic Northwest

Parking: We encourage guests to use public transportation or ride-sharing services. Our 50-space parking lot is open on a first come, first-served, basis and limited street parking is available on SW 89th & 90th Avenues. 


Accessibility: Nordia House has two accessible parking spots in our main lot facing SW Oleson Rd. Both the main entrance facing SW Oleson Rd. and our side entrance facing SW Taylors Ferry Rd. are wheelchair accessible. All restrooms have accessible stalls but no power doors.
