various dates and times
We are looking for more volunteers for our Troll Docent Program at Nordic Northwest. This is a great opportunity to engage with all of the people coming to visit our new troll. Be an ambassador for our resident troll. You will be trained on information about Ole Bolle and Nordic Northwest.
We are going to have our first “kick off shift” as a group on Tuesday, September 26th at 6:30pm. If you cannot make it to the kick-off, no problem. All info will also be sent out. We have three shifts per weekend day. You can follow this link to sign up for sessions. You’ll see there are two spots for each session and you can sign up for multiple sessions in the same day, as well. Any questions about the troll docents – email firstname.lastname@example.org
Field Trip Guide
Help lead and assist field trips coming to the Nordic Northwest Campus to meet our resident Troll, Ole Bolle, and learn about Nordic cultures. If you love working with students and sharing knowledge through tours, games and activities, this is going to be fun! You’ll be helping set up, prepare for, and assist during all parts of the field trips. There will be an orientation and training in everything you’ll need to know prior to the field trips.
Office Scanning Project
Do you love organizing? We are looking for additional help with digitizing our accounting records. This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity. Basic computer skills and comfort learning/using our scanner would be great. You will be working with Karen, our accountant. Availability ideally on Fridays, but any day/time would be greatly appreciated.
Field Trip Guide Lead
Do you have a background in education, or in educational tours for students? We'd love for you to join us and lend your skills and experience to creating fun, meaningful field trip visits for students all ages to the Nordic Northwest Campus. Assist in shaping the content of field trips, and serve as a lead guide for groups. Our field trips encompass the entire campus, and can include Ole Bolle Troll, Fogelbo & Nordia House, with cover subjects ranging from Nordic cultures, nature education, the history of Ole Bolle and Thomas Dambo, intersections of Nordic and global cultures, and Nordic languages.
