Growing up, my Norwegian Heritage was very important in my family. I think I passed that on to my two sons. I have been volunteering with Nordic Northwest since shortly after the building opened on committees and I have also volunteered at events and festivals.. I also volunteer as a liaison for the AFS student exchange program and have met many wonderful teenagers from all over the world. It is interesting to me to learn about different cultures.
Why is Nordic Northwest special to you?
Nordic Northwest has grown into being a cherished community asset. I like to bring out of town guest to visit the campus and have a meal at Broder.
What is your favorite Nordic Food?
My Grandma Ingeborg always has a tin of Sandbakkels ready, they were the best.
