GENERAL SPONSORSHIPS

Nordic Northwest Campus Sponsor

The campus includes our Nordic cultural center, Nordia House, and four acres of land with gardens, trails, and a historic home. Fogelbo is a log cabin built by Henry Steiner and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2020. The property also includes various stugas (small cottages). The newest addition is Ole Bolle, a 29-foot recycled wood troll sculpture by Danish artist Thomas Dambo. Your sponsorship would include prominent signage in the Nordia House lobby and/or near the troll.

Rotating Exhibits & Openings Sponsors

Four times a year our exhibit hall transforms into a new interactive and educational space. With over 51,000 visitors a year, these exhibits showcase Nordic culture to visits from near and far. The exhibits have opening receptions to introduce them to the public, members, and donors. Your organization will be invited to speak at the openings and have signage up year-round in the exhibit hall. This sponsorship level is in addition to our foundation sponsors for the space.

Digital & Print Sponsor

Our print newsletter has 1,500 readers and goes out 3 times a year. Our e-news is weekly and has 15,000 subscribers. We also send out periodic e-blasts to our full mailing list. Sponsor both our digital and print combinations with your name and logo in these mailings.

Viking Ship Sponsor

The Viking Ship is a 20-foot replica complete with sails, shields, and figurehead. It appears at various festivals, events, and parade, the largest of which is the Starlight Parade in the Portland Rose Festival (2 million viewers, hundreds of thousands of spectators). Your banner will be on the side of the ship.

Oregon Lucia Court Donors

An Oregon tradition since 1956, the Lucia program puts young women with and interest in Nordic culture in touch with this beloved legend of Scandinavia, while offering them the opportunity to serve their community and receive scholarships. The official Oregon Lucia is crowned shortly after the selection. Lucia and her court members appear at various Nordic events during the holiday season, including Nordic Northwest’s ScanFair and throughout the year. Help support this program by donating today and be recognized at Lucia events and our e-newsletter.

Custom Events at the Troll

For example, for Halloween, a sponsoring company put up Halloween decorations and handed out candy to hundreds of kids and families at the troll and surrounding stugas (small cottages) on the Nordic Northwest Campus.
