The Program and Exhibit Coordinator
Works in partnership with the volunteer Program Committee responsible for providing the strategic framework for cultural programming in fulfilling its mission to preserve, communicate and celebrate Nordic culture, heritage and innovation. This role implements the direction by researching, planning coordinating and evaluating cultural programming such as exhibits, performances, lectures, special activities, film screenings, social gatherings, family programming, dances, lectures, classes and workshops that focus on the cultures of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. This position is the staff liaison for four volunteer committees, assisting with the organization and implementation of a Program Series.
Festival and Fundraising Event Coordinator
This position works in partnership with volunteer committees in planning, coordinating and growing Nordic Northwest’s Nordic Celebrations and Fundraising events (ScanFair, Midsummer, Fastelavn and Nordic Nights). This position will start off as part-time and will convert to full time in the near future.
Nordic Northwest is a 33-year old non-profit organization focused on the five Nordic nations: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The mission of Nordic Northwest is to preserve, communicate and celebrate Nordic culture, heritage and innovations.
