A Nordic Winter Light: 70 Years of Oregon Lucia

Start your Christmas Season with the magic that is Lucia! Join Nordic Northwest for a very special afternoon as we celebrate 70 years of the Official Oregon Lucia. For seven decades, Oregon Lucia has brought generations together through light, song, community, and Scandinavian tradition. Now it’s time to celebrate this incredible milestone, and everyone is invited!

The celebration will include the opening of our special 70th Anniversary Oregon Lucia Exhibit, the crowning of the 70th Official Oregon Lucia, and a happy anniversary gathering honoring the many people who have been part of this beloved tradition.

Former Oregon Lucias and Lucia Court members are warmly encouraged to return for this milestone celebration, alongside family, friends, volunteers, supporters, and everyone who has been part of the Oregon Lucia tradition over the years. Come reconnect with old friends, share memories, explore 70 years of Lucia history, enjoy entertainment, and welcome the newest Oregon Lucia and Court.

Admission is free, donations encouraged! Please register to help us plan for this special gathering.

The Official Oregon Lucia program is also a scholarship program, helping support young people as they continue their education. Donations are encouraged and will help ensure this wonderful tradition — and the opportunities it provides — continues for generations to come.

Come celebrate 70 years of light, community, friendship, and tradition with us!
