itä means east in Finnish. Which is part of the winery owner's last name: Itämeri, which is also the Finnish name for the Baltic Sea, which literally translates to “east sea.”
An Evening Wine Tasting with itä Winery and Finnish Fare
Join us for a curated wine tasting experience featuring the exceptional wines of itä Winery, a woman-owned and -made winery from the foothills of the Blue Mountains in Walla Walla, Washington. Known for their low-intervention approach, itä Winery produces elegant, lower-alcohol, higher-acidity wines that showcase the purity and finesse of the fruit.
This tasting event pairs each wine with small, thoughtfully prepared Finnish bites, highlighting the flavors and traditions of Nordic cuisine. The menu is a set menu, designed to complement the wines and provide a cohesive tasting experience.
