Julie Dexter

Julie Tervo Dexter joined the staff of Nordic Northwest in August, 2025. After a twenty year career teaching Spanish and Art at the middle and high school level, Julie decided it was time to learn more about her Finnish heritage and the artistic traditions of the Nordic countries. She started spending time with various programs at Nordic Northwest. She was a regular attendee of Nordic Coffee Hour and Nordic Knit and Craft Circle, and sold her artwork as Aiti Workshop at ScanFair, Midsummer, and Viking Beer Fest. She also joined the Forest Trolls in grounds maintenance. Julie enjoys her “variety pack” role and welcoming guests with the same warmth that she was shown.
