Beauty Secrets of the Gods

OVERVIEW

Tickets includes materials

GENERAL ADMISSION: $100

NNW MEMBERS: $90

Join storyteller Barbara Fankhauser for another evening of tales of Gods and Goddesses – tricksters and ice giants. Come along with her as she reveals the beauty secret that kept the entire world of Gods and Goddess at their peak of power and beauty...and the tragic consequences of what happens when that magic “elixir” is no longer available to them.
Then, wind up the evening, with a cautionary tale of how not to choose a husband.
This promises to be an evening of entertainment, enlightenment and connection to the powerful myths that lie at the heart of our Norse culture.

Barbara has been a storyteller most of her life. First as a young girl trying to avoid trouble, then as an advertising copywriter and finally as a legitimate storyteller and member of the Portland Storytellers’ Guild. She tells tales for many cultures but in more recent years has tended to be more interested in sharing elder tales, crone tales and stories from her own ethnic background which include Norse and Celtic myths and legends.
