About
In conjunction with our current Moomin Exhibit on display:
Step into the whimsical world of the Moomins with the Portland Finnish School! Join us for a delightful bilingual story time experience in both English and Finnish, perfect for families and young readers alike. Together, we’ll explore selections from the beloved Moomin stories by Tove Jansson, discovering the charm, humor, and heart that have made these tales a cherished part of Finnish culture. You will also get a chance to explore our current Moomin Exhibit on display at Nordia House!
This program is especially well-suited for little kids and toddlers, with a relaxed, engaging format designed to spark curiosity and imagination in even the youngest listeners.
Along the way, participants will learn a bit about the Moomins, their origins, characters, and the magical world they inhabit, making this a fun and enriching introduction to Finnish storytelling. Come listen, learn, and imagine together!
This is a free event! Registration is still required.
