Holiday Card Workshop

There’s no better time to get creative than during the colder winter months. In this hands-on workshop, Portland-based artist Annelie Thurin will guide you through creating your own Christmas and holiday cards inspired by Nordic motifs.

Learn how to hand-cut paper designs and apply them to greeting cards or small boards that can be framed and displayed. Make something to send to a friend or loved one, or keep your favorite creation for yourself.

No previous experience is needed, and all skill levels are welcome. All materials are included.

Meet your Instructor, Annelie Thurin

Annelie was born and raised in Dalarna, Sweden, from where she draws inspiration for her artwork. In addition to hand-cutting paper pictures and participating in various art shows locally and in Sweden, Annelie is currently teaching STEM to 5th graders at STARBASE. Her education includes an MFA in Costume Design, BFA in Theatre Design and a BA in Education. She has taught at Linfield College, high school and middle school in Sweden, and designed apparel at Jantzen, Inc. and Hanna Andersson.
