Learn how to weave a colorful narrow band, popular in Nordic cultures for hundreds of years and used as sashes, belts, headbands, and decorative trim.
Weaving narrow bands is a great introduction to weaving, and is fun and faster to produce than larger, more complex weaving projects. In this workshop students will have the option to turn their woven band into a key ring or a bracelet.
All supplies and equipment will be provided. Instructor will guide you through each step to create at least one 8-10-inch-long band, with various hardware to choose from to turn your weaving into a key ring or bracelet.
This is a multi-generational activity! An adult guardian is required for children under the age of 18. Adult guardians do not have to purchase a ticket if they only plan to assist their children in the craft. Adults who plan to make their own craft are required to purchase a ticket.
