Learn how to weave a Nordic inspired narrow band, just like traditional woven bands popular in Nordic cultures for hundreds of years. Used as sashes, belts, headbands, and decorative trim, colorful woven bands have many uses and are fun and easy to make.

You will create your band using backstrap weaving, and choice of several traditional Nordic design motifs. Backstrap weaving is an ancient, easy, and very portable method of weaving that uses very few pieces of equipment. You can create beautiful designs anywhere!

You’ll be shown how to tie off your bands for various uses, including wrist band/bracelet, hair band, or key ring. Bring a favorite button, or beads to use for bracelet closures. Extras will be provided as well.

All supplies and equipment will be provided. Instructor will guide you through each step to create at least one 8-10-inch-long band.
