Come welcome the New Year the Nordic way and experience how Denmark, Norway, and Sweden celebrate this joyful turning of the calendar! Join us and enjoy Dinner for One, the beloved British comedy sketch that has become a charming New Year’s tradition throughout Scandinavia and much of Europe. Though nearly unknown in its home country, this quirky tale of Miss Sophie and her ever-faithful butler James has been broadcast annually for decades and holds a special place in Nordic holiday nostalgia. We will also share a reading of Nyårsklockorna (Ring Out, Wild Bells) by Alfred Tennyson in both English and Swedish, raise a toast, and savor classic desserts such as Kransekage.
Gather with fellow community members for food, warmth, and winter cheer as we reflect on Nordic Northwest’s 2025 year. A lovely bonus: you will be home and cozy well before midnight.
Each ticket includes one complimentary glass of champagne or a shot of aquavit for toasting.
