Scandinavian Folk Art Paint & Sip

Unleash your creativity at a playful, design-inspired Paint & Sip evening celebrating the iconic designs found in Scandinavian folk art.

Inspired by the rich traditions of Scandinavian folk art, this workshop celebrates the bold colors, decorative patterns, and whimsical motifs that have adorned homes and everyday objects for generations. Guests will be guided through creating a vibrant, folk art–inspired painting featuring traditional Scandinavian designs, with the freedom to personalize their piece. Prefer to keep it simple? You're welcome to focus on a single motif or explore your own creative direction.

The experience will be led by Portland-based artist Joel Henriques, whose work draws on his Nordic heritage. With a focus on playful linework and bold, expressive color, Joel creates art that is both captivating and accessible, perfect for beginners and seasoned painters alike.

During the event, additional examples and inspiration will be shared on-screen, so you can explore different styles and ideas while you work.
