About
Join artist Nick Maier at the Skillcraft Institute studio for a hands-on creative workshop celebrating Swedish folk tradition and the joy of woodcarving. Participants will learn basic carving and shaping techniques, explore the traditional form of the Dala horse, and craft a personalized piece to take home.
Please note: there will not be time to paint the horse during the workshop, but participants are welcome to finish and decorate their piece at home. No prior carving experience is needed—just an interest in learning and creating.
This is a unique opportunity to work directly with a practicing artist, build new skills, and enjoy a focused, artful experience. Come carve your own Dala horse and create something truly your own!
