About
Time to play! Everyone’s beloved Danish invention and worlds most recognizable building toy, LEGO® are part of generations of fun and learning the world over. The name LEGO is derived from the Danish phrase “leg godt,” meaning “play well!” The LEGO Group was established in 1932 in Billund, Denmark, by Ole Kirk Christiansen, who initially made wooden toys. The company is still owned and operated by the same family today.
Nordic Northwest is pleased to offer this workshop led by Play-Well TEKnologies, one of the leading educators in the country using LEGO® materials to teach and inspire creativity and STEAM and STEM skills. In this workshop students will learn how to apply engineering, architecture, creativity and fun to create a magical Winter Wonderland! Build motorized contraptions like snowmobiles and gondolas, or a hilltop village with slopes for LEGO® skiers and sledders, all with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor.
At Play-Well TEKnologies, students are encouraged to unleash their inner engineer as they design and build with tens of thousands of LEGO® pieces and the guidance of passionate, dedicated Play-Well instructors. They will explore fundamental STEM concepts as they learn to collaborate and create without fear of mistakes. The experience is joyful, the impact long lasting.
