Carin first helped with the Nordic Vintage & Treasure Sale in 2021. Now an integral part of the committee, one of her favorite things about the sale still is uncovering the hidden treasures donated and finding them loving new homes. Carin, who has volunteered at numerous events, workshops and Nordic Nights, is also a Fogelbo tour docent, a role she thoroughly enjoys as she shares the rich history of the house, its collection, and Ross’ life story with visitors.

Growing up in New York, Carin studied Business, Economics & Architecture at Lehigh University. She now lives in Sherwood, Oregon, with her husband, George. They have two daughters who have "grown and flown." With a passion for architecture and design, Carin also enjoys exploring gardens, museums, and learning new crafts in her free time.

Carin’s deep connection to her Swedish roots — her grandparents immigrated to the U.S. 100 years ago — informs her love of Nordic culture, which she shares through her volunteer work, believing strongly “in the transformative power of giving back.” Her favorite Nordic holiday is Julafton, which she celebrates by recreating her farmor's (grandmother's) traditional feast.

Thank you so very much for all you do, Carin! You are amazing!

Slope 2 is a dynamic 3D running game that challenges players to keep a ball rolling on endless neon tracks. The speed increases over time, and even a small mistake can cause the ball to fall. Its futuristic design and fast gameplay make it both exciting and addictive.

Carin sounds like such a gem! Always heartwarming to see someone so dedicated to their heritage and giving back. It's almost like watching a ragdoll hit just right – everything she does seems to perfectly fit and contribute to the community. Go Carin!

Just as the Nordic community celebrates outstanding individuals for their contributions and commitment, in  Geometry Arrow, players are encouraged to demonstrate their skills and perseverance through each level where every breakthrough is worthy of recognition.
