The results are in! Thanks to all who participated in our naming contest for the new bronze sculptures at Nordia House. If you haven’t seen them yet, we have two new bronze beaver and otter sculptures on our Nordia House site (they are currently practicing social distancing). These critters were designed by renowned American artist Georgia Gerber, who also designed the beloved Animals in Pools, a series of ten trough-style fountains and twenty-five bronze sculptures of Pacific Northwest animals located in downtown Portland. We thank longtime members Marianne Bratt and Al Baker for their generous donation.
Congratulations to Kristine Sork, who submitted these clever names for our new friends at Nordia House!

This was a very informative and well-structured post. The way you explained the benefits of immersive language learning, especially through a summer camp format, made the idea feel both practical and inspiring. It’s refreshing to see cultural education presented in such an engaging way. I recently came across a related discussion on a review platform like https://gocollectiv.com/, where people shared similar experiences about learning through cultural immersion, which added another interesting layer to the topic you covered here.
Ragdoll Hit is a physics-driven combat game where players advance through competitive rounds by defeating opponents. Using a ragdoll stickman character, players score points by landing hits, which can be used to unlock characters and weapons.
Love the creativity here! If anyone needs help keeping score or adding up suggestions at your next event, I recommend this online sum calculator—super simple and effective!
What a fun way to welcome the new sculptures - those Retro Bowl College names are perfect! I can’t wait to visit Nordia House and see the beaver and otter in person.
